Markets
Welshpool’s markets are an important part of the town’s history and everyday life, offering residents and visitors the chance to shop locally and support independent traders.
Welshpool Indoor Market
Discover the best of local shopping at Welshpool Indoor Market, located on the lower level of the Town Hall. The market offers a wide range of stalls, from jewellery and unique gifts to fresh produce and more.
The Indoor Market is open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, from 9:30am to 4:00pm.
Free public toilets are available at the rear of the building during market opening hours.
Charter Market
Every Monday, Broad Street comes alive with Welshpool’s traditional Charter Market.
This long-standing market tradition dates back to 1263, when a royal charter first granted Welshpool the right to hold a weekly market. Today, the Charter Market continues to be a focal point of the town centre, offering a variety of stalls and produce.
