Council publishes draft byelaws for comment prior to adoption

Welshpool Town Council has published draft byelaws relating to Open Spaces, Markets and Public Toilets following approval by Full Council.

The publication of these draft byelaws forms part of the statutory process under the Local Government Byelaws (Wales) Act 2012 before the Council decides whether to formally make the byelaws.

The statutory publication period runs from 10 August 2026 until 21 September 2026.

During this period any person may inspect the draft byelaws and submit written representations to the Council.

The draft byelaws are available to download via our webpage http://welshpooltowncouncil.gov.uk/consultation/ and may also be inspected free of charge at the Welshpool Information Centre during normal opening hours.

Representations must be received by 5.00pm on Monday 21 September 2026 and should be sent to:
